“Over Dead In Over (weird bandname by the way) hails from Italy and wants to play a mixture of melodic death metal with the aggression of Slayer and the technicality of Death. This does not really show, they get stuck in the melodic death metal trap even if the level of complexity is higher than the average Swedish congener. Notable is the amount of guitar solos you hear in the songs, they add that little something special that makes a song their own. A lot of what you hear sounds like In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, a little bit more raw and luckily not oo much clean singing. From ‘The Warm Tear Of Redemption’ to closer ‘Existence’ nine songs of quality metal songs that unfortunately lack a real identity of their own, because of which I hope that the band develops further so the next album will be smashing. 75/100”
